On Saturday, after a free continental breakfast at the
hotel, we bought tickets from the concierge for the hop on-hop off bus tour. We got on the bus nearby and got off at
Stanley Park near the aquarium. It wasn't open yet so we enjoyed a cup of coffee while we waited.
We watched a 4D movie about the sea which was very cool- we experienced cool breezes and mist. This is a very nice aquarium- the displays are awesome! Got back on the bus and stopped at Granville Island which is a shopping and entertainment district.

We had lunch at Vancouver Fish Company- pricey but good. Most of us tried the fish and chips.
We then walked around the shops and market. Got back on the bus and rode it to Gastown where we shopped a little for souvenirs and then had dinner at Steamworbks Brewing Company which is next to the harbor. We couldn't get a table with a view but the beer and pizzas here were excellent! Each single pizza had 6 large slices.
Our waiter Matt was very personable- he is also an actor. Took cabs back to the hotel where we watched an old silly movie and drank wine with Bill and Deb.
